Vladimir Kramnik played solidly to secure a draw against Levon Aronian and take first place in the 3rd London Chess Classic. Magnus Carlsen might still have the shared money but he had the worst of a long draw with Nigel Short. Hikaru Nakamura played the King's Gambit against Michael Adams and a fascinating game ensued. Adams seemed to have the better of a complicated struggle but he blundered near the time control, allowing Nakamura to win and snatch second place overall. Magnus Carlsen finished third and Luke McShane fourth.
