A new record was made at Goa. Aravindh Chithambaram of Tamil Nadu, the country's highest Under-12 rated player became the youngest to win the National Junior Championship that concluded at Goa on Sep 14.
In the girls section, 1992-born Pon N. Krithikha of Chennai won the title by a one-point margin scoring 9.5 points.
